Albert C. Mata, 87, was born on March 20, 1934 in Lane City, Texas and was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 8, 2021 in Houston, Texas.  Albert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvino & Guadalupe Mata; by his loving wife, Mary S. Mata; by his son, Patrick Mata; by his siblings, Paul C. Mata, Guadalupe C. Mata, Alvin C. Mata, Connie C. Mata, and Constancia Mata Garcia; also by his sons in law, Paul Anthony Gonzalez and Ovidio U. Cardenas.  He leaves behind to cherish and treasure his memories his son, Albert Mata, Jr., his daughters, Priscilla Salazar & husband Marcos, and Donna Gonzales; his grandchildren, Mark Mata, Tiffany Cortinas & husband Mark Ayala, Stephen Cardenas, Marcus Salazar & wife Deni, and Anthony Mata; his great grandchildren, Bella Salazar, Dahlia Ayala, Elijah Salazar, Diego Ayala, and Dimitri Ayala; his brothers, Ernest C. Mata and Catarino "Wimpy" C. Mata; his sisters, Julia Mata Gonzalez & husband Rudy, Birdie Mata Torres, and Ofelia C. Mata; he also leaves behind many other relatives and a host of friends.  Albert will be dearly missed by all those who shared wonderful memories with him.
