Albert Rivera

Mr. Albert Rivera, 85, born July 8, 1929 in Houston, (5th Ward), TX and was called home to be with his “Lord and Savior” on November 23, 2014, surrounded by his Loving Family. He is preceded in death by his Daughter, Rebecca Rivera; Great Granddaughter, Isabella Herrera; Sister, Virginia Ortega; and Brothers, Joe Rivera and Luis Rivera. Survived by his Wife of 58 years, Angelina Rivera; Daughters, Anna Rivera, Irma Rivera; Son, Albert Rivera (Anna), Sister, Elizabeth Rivera; Brothers, Oscar Rivera (Mary) and Marcos Rivera (Lucy); 2 Granddaughters, Meagan Herrera (Victor) and Emma Rivera; Great Granddaughter, Lillian Herrera; and numerous nieces & nephews. Mr. Rivera was a long standing member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and The Young At Heart Club. Mr. Rivera was also a member of The Old Timers Club of Houston.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 28, 2014 from 5-9 pm at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church (4918 Cochran St.) with a Rosary being recited at 7pm. Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014 at 11am at Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel with Deacon Johnny Salinas officiating. Rite of Committal will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
