Alfonso Perez, Sr.

Alfonso Perez, Sr., 84, was born on September 20, 1932 in Eldridge, Texas to Gustavo and Julia Perez and was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 12, 2016 while surrounded by his loving family in Houston, Texas. Alfonso was a loving husband, father, and grandfather; a hardworking family man who always put his loved ones first. Big Houston Oilers fan and a member of the M.D. Anderson YWCA Senior's Group. He was preceded in death by his parents; also by his brothers, Gustavo Perez and Hurberto Perez. Alfonso leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving wife of 63 years, Ruth Perez; his sons, Alfonso Perez, Jr. & wife Catherine, John Paul Perez & wife Rebecca, and Richard Perez & wife Kamala; his daughters, Rose Mary Perez, Sylvia Jaquez & husband Valentin, Margaret Caballero & husband David, and Lisa Ann Trevino & husband Stephen; his brother, Hernando Perez; his sisters, Gloria Garcia and Ubaldina Maldonado; his grandchildren, Marisa, Christopher, Jarrod, Amy, Alfonso III, Samantha, Juliette, Valentin III, David Jr., Deanna, Nicholas, Jacquelyn, Sydney, Evan, and Natalie; his great grandchildren, Malori, Julia, Erik, Christopher, Max, Joshua, Darian, Alissa, Valentin IV, Julieanna, Seth, Micah, Lucca, Ivy, and Levi; his great great grandchildren, Liam and Emma; also many other relatives and friends. Alfonso will be dearly missed by all those who love him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 5pm to 9pm with a Rosary being recited at 7pm by Deacon Johnny Salinas at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 9m at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (7539 Avenue K, Houston, TX 77012) with Father Tim Paulsen officiating. Rite of Committal will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
