1929 - 2020

Alfred Almaraz, 91, was born on July 29, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois and was called up to be with his Lord and Savior on October 1, 2020 in Houston, Texas.  Alfred was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.  Alfred served in the U.S. Marines and was a proud and devoted husband and father.  He took care of his family and loved his wife to the moon and back.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro Almaraz and Maria Rodriguez; his sons, Paul Anthony Almaraz, Henry Almaraz, and Adam Almaraz; his grandson, Adrian R. Rodriguez; his brothers, Johnny Rodriguez, Sevaro Almaraz, and Pete Almaraz; and his sister, Sheila Corona.  Alfred leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 70 years, Guadalupe Almaraz; his son, Alfred Henry Almaraz; his daughters, Gloria Mercado, Olivia Ann Silguero, and Laura Castillo & Husband Sam; his sisters, Elvira Castro, Ana Maria Aprile, Teresa Tellez, and Lydia Flores; his sister in law, Lena Almaraz; his 12 grandchildren; his 23 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.  Alfred will be greatly missed by all who shared wonderful memories with him.
