Alvaro Dionicio Vela Vasquez

Alvaro Dionicio Vela Vasquez, 62, was born January 19, 1952 in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, Mexico and was called home to be with his "Lord & Savior" on August 16, 2014 while surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his Sisters, Evangelina Vela Vasquez and Alicia Vela Vasquez. He is survived by his Sons, Alvaro D. Vela, Israel Vela, Alvaro Dionicio Vela III and Edward Sanchez; Daughters, Laura Denise Vela, Alicia Vela Moore, Maribel Vela, Rosa Sanchez and Brenda Sanchez Gonzalez; Brothers, Cruz Antonio Vela, Oscar Efrain Vela and Adan Vela; Sisters, Viola Vela, Maria Ludivina Vela Gariby, Nertha Vela Vasquez and Nora Geraldina Vela Vasquez; and 15 Grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (9217 E. Avenue L, Houston, Texas 77012). Visitation will follow beginning at 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Compean Funeral Home Family Chapel with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Ship out of Cremated Remains will take place at a later date in Panteón Municipal, Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
