Artemio Martinez Tovar, 51, was born on August 23, 1963 in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, Mexico and went to be with his "Lord and Savior" on June 8, 2015 in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Artemio is survived by his Father, Alfonso Martinez; Mother, Maria Martinez Tovar; Wife, Maria Elena Martinez; Sons, Edgar Martinez & wife Miranda and Edwin Martinez; Daughter, Erika Martinez; Brothers, Jose Martinez, Alfonso Martinez, Erasmo Martinez, Cirilo Martinez, and Jorge Martinez; Sisters, Elma Martinez Roman, Norma Martinez Rodriguez, and Martha Martinez Salamanca; also by his 2 Grandchildren, Corbin Martinez and Evan Martinez.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 from 4pm to 9pm with a Rosary being recited at 7pm at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 11am at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in South Park Cemetery.
