Aurelia Medellin Delgado

Aurelia Medellin Delgado, 96, of Houston, Texas, passed away on December 10, 2023. She was born on November 25, 1927, in Houston, Texas, to her parents Jose Segovia Medellin and Teresa Ante Medellin. Aurelia was preceded in death by her father, mother, and siblings Jose Medellin, Mary Lou Medellin, Ofelia Vasquez, Gloria Romo, Elisa Flores, Amparo Sepulveda, and Ruth Matta.

Aurelia is survived by her loving son Saul A. Delgado and daughter-in-law, Mary  Kathleen Delgado. She was also adored by her grandchildren Saul B. Delgado and Daniel A. Delgado. Aurelia's brother, Charles Medellin, will cherish her memory.

Aurelia was a graduate of Sam Houston High School in Houston, Texas. She grew up and lived in Houston's Magnolia neighborhood. She worked in finance with Foley Loan Services, Nations Bank, Capital National Bank, Foley's and Macy's department stores. She spent time at the Madison Jobe Senior Center in Pasadena, Texas coordinating Casino Trips and was a member of the Red Hat Society.

The funeral arrangements are being handled by Compean Funeral Home, 2102 Broadway, Houston, Texas 77012. Family and friends will gather on Monday, December 18, 2023 for visitation from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. She worshipped at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, where family and friends will meet for a Mass celebrating her life on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 9:30am prior to burial services at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery at 11:00am.
