Benedict Thomas 1933 - 2015

Benedict Thomas, 82, was born on March 2, 1933 in Dominica, West Indies to William Bastien and Maude Henderson, and was called home to be with her "Lord and Savior" on July 9, 2015 in Webster, Texas. Benedict is survived by her two sisters Wilma Ferdinand and Ismay “Bebe” Cuffy; and her brother Mark Henry. Her five children: Sylma Lavinier, Andrea Victorine, Dr. Max Hilaire, Catherina Isaac, Ezra Joseph, and her adopted son Peter Johnson. Son-in –laws: Gus Lavinier, Ferdinand Isaac, Alaric Joseph, and daughter in law Anita Hilaire. Grandkids: Heather and husband Charles, Darlington "Conroy", Marsha, Lakesha and husband Carlos Sr., Alanah, Khito, Ebony, Darnell and wife Michaela, Akim, Elan, Elias "Mosiah", and Miguel. Great grandkids: Orlando, Carlos Jr., Xavien, Christian, Keresha, Justin, Devonte, Khiandrea, Jahlani, Khianna, Bre, Isaiah, and J'marni. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, to include John Cuffy, Phil Bannis, Melanie Bannis, Felicia Bannis, Jamal Cuffy, Kesha Cuffy, and John Cuffy Jr. of Houston. As well as her dearest friend Winifred Wayland and countless family members living in various parts of the world.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 3pm to 6pm with a Celebration of Life Service at 4pm at The Compean Funeral Home Family Chapel.
