On Thursday, November 16, 2023, after a long pilgrimage in pain, Benjamin Saucedo heard the voice of his Master who called him to rest from his hardships, transferring him to the heavenly places that his Savior and Lord went to prepare for him. He has received from the Lord the words of welcome contained in Mt. 25:2 - “Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”
Benjamin was born in Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila on March 29, 1961, he was the fifth member of eight children of the Marriage formed by the Rev. Matias Saucedo Muñoz and Olivia Alvarado Gaona.
From a very young age, Benjamin was a hard worker. When summer and holiday seasons came around, he always looked for places to spend his time and things to do and repair/fix around the house After his high school studies, he moved to Monterrey, Nuevo León and went on to study Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Upon finishing his studies, he saw the opportunities the United States offered and after obtaining his immigration documents, he made Houston, Texas his permanent place of residence. While living in Houston, Texas he met who would become his wife of 29 years, Edy Elizabeth Perez Chavez. This union brought with it the fruit of their love, and the greatest blessing that parents can experience, a baby girl named Edith, whom he loved, educated, sustained and formed. Benjamin Spent the rest of his life dedicating himself to his family and his work as a CNC Machinist for many different companies.
Until the day of his departure, Benjamin was a member of the Christian Church, Sobre la Roca, his Pastor being Sr. José Germán Turcio. In this congregation Benjamin developed the congregation by serving as Youth Teacher and Assistant Teacher of Doctrine, teaching courses to the adult members of the congregation. Before being a member of this church, he had already carried out his ministerial studies at the Biblical Institute in the Temple Aposento Alto, and later Master of the Biblical Institute from which he had graduated
Benjamin is preceded in death by his mother and father, Matias Saucedo Muñoz and Olivia Alvarado Gaona. He is survived by his wife, Edy Elizabeth Saucedo (Houston) and daughter Edith Saucedo (Houston).
