Bertha G. De Salazar

d. June 10, 2014

09/17/1931 ~ 06/09/2014

Bertha was born in Monterrey, N.L. Mexico on September 17, 1931 and was called home to be with the Angeles in Heaven the morning of June 9, 2014 at the age of 82. She is now reunited with her parents and husband Juan Salazar Ramos. Bertha was a strong woman, growing up as the only child she would one day manage to not only raise her 7 children on her own but also had to keep the strength to care for her husband who was ill before he passed away in 1991. She made sure she always had her milk and sweet bread in the house and recited the Padre Nuestro prayer daily. She loved to dance and sing to her "mariachi" music, especially to "Hermoso Carino". She idolized and supported Victor Trevino, making her his definite #1 fan. Her memories will never fade and she will be deeply missed by all of us.

Bertha is survived by her four sons: Juan Gustavo Salazar, Jose Hugo Salazar, Mario Alberto Salazar and Edgar Alejandro Salazar; three daughters: Hilda Bertha Salazar De Munoz, Sylvia Elena Salazar and Olga Celia Salazar De Arredondo along with 24 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation hours will begin at 3pm until 9pm on Thursday, June 12th 2014. A Rosary will be recited at 7pm and a prayer will follow in the Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. A Funeral Mass officiated by Father Peter Mastrobuono will be celebrated for Bertha at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Friday, June 13th 2014 at 10am. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Padre Nuestro

Padre Nuestro que estas en el cielo. Santificado sea Tú nombre. Venga a nosotros tu Reino. Amen.
