Carmen Castro, 70, was born on July 15, 1946 in Houston, Texas and was called up to be with his Lord and Savior on January 14, 2017 in Houston, Texas. Mr. Castro was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He loved listening to music and dancing. He was a football fan liking the Texans, but was an inside Cowboys fan. He enjoyed watching John Wayne movies and reading the Houston Chronicle daily. He always wore his Stacy Adams shoes and had a pair for every day of the week. He loved his family greatly and they always came first. Mr. Castro is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro Castro and Anita Luna. He is survived by his sons, Peter Castro & wife Connie and Gabriel Castro & Lily Alaniz; his daughter, Natalie Esparza; his sisters, Alexandra Gonzales, Emily Lopez, and Nora Hernandez; his grandchildren, Victoria Esparza, Victor Esparza, Thomas Espinoza, Lauren Castro, Mia Castro, Jeremy Castro, Morgan Castro, Kristina Vela, Joshua Ball-Castro, and Alianna Alaniz; and his great grandson, Josiah Nunez. Mr. Castro will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 4pm to 9pm at the Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Januray 20, 2017 at 10am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Cremation will take place on a later date.
