Carmen Martinez Ortega 1925 - 2015

Carmen Martinez Ortega, 90, was born on May 20, 1925 in Canutillo, Texas to Eulogio and Tomasa Martinez and was called home to be with her "Lord and Savior" on July 8, 2015 in Houston, Texas. Carmen is preceded in death by her beloved Parents, also by her Husband, Octavio Oscar Ortega (September 13, 1994). She is survived by her Sons, Oscar Octavio Ortega & wife San Juana and Gabriel Gustavo Ortega & wife Cynthia; Daughters, Patricia Ann Perez & husband Javier, Mary Helen Tracey & husband John, and Rachel Ortega Gutierrez & husband Albert; 9 Grandchildren, Javier, Eliana, Gabriella, Valerie, Elias, Oscar, Nicolas, Sofie, and Albert; as well as by numerous Nieces and Nephews. Carmen was a lifelong member of Our Lady of St. John Catholic Church.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2015 from 3pm to 9pm with a Rosary being recited at 7pm at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 10am at Our Lady of St. John Catholic Church (7500 Hirsch Rd, Houston, TX 77016). Rite of Committal will follow in Forest Park East Cemetery.
