Charles Silva Sanchez, 86, was born on July 10, 1930 in Houston, Texas and was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 10, 2016 in Houston, Texas while surrounded by his loving family. Charles served in the U.S. Army during the WWII Era and he was retired. He was a loving and giving person who was always helping people in need. Charles loved to spend time with his family, specially his grandchildren; he also loved fishing and going to Farmer's Market. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Jose Cruz Sanchez and Maria Silva; also by his son, Alfred "Freddie" Sanchez. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Elvira Sanchez; his sons, Carlos Sanchez, Jose Cruz Sanchez & wife Mary Ann, and Roy Sanchez & wife Monica; his daughter, Victoria Ann Sanchez Rios & husband Guadalupe "Lupe"; his brother, Roy Silva Sanchez; numerous grandchildren, relatives, and friends. Charles will be dearly missed by all those who love him.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from 5pm to 9pm with a Prayer Service at 7pm at The Compean Funeral Home Family Chapel. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 10:30am at New Life in the Word Ministry Church (4521 Englewood St., Houston, TX 77026) with Bishop Henry Lowery, Sr. officiating. Committal Service will follow in Houston National Cemetery with full Military Honors.Visits: 10
