Damiana Trejo Lujan

Our beloved mother, Damiana Trejo Lujan, 86, was called to be with her Lord and Savior on March 13, 2024, in Metairie, Louisiana surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Beaumont, Texas on September 27, 1937.  Damiana was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many.  Her faith in Christ was reflected in her devotion to family and treatment of others.   Damiana enjoyed the simple life at home but also loved traveling, shopping, and especially holding her many garage sales.  She loved her grandchildren deeply and took part in their many extracurricular activities.   Damiana is preceded in death by her husband Vicente R. Lujan, her son John Anthony Lujan, her daughter Denise Marie Lujan, and sisters Carmen Treviño and Angelita Cruz.  Damiana leaves behind her sons; Arthur Lujan and wife Sharon, Albert Lujan and wife Deborah, her daughters; Diane Marie Timme and husband Alan, Dorothy Ann Marie Gelino and husband Randall, her daughter-in-law Gloria Lujan, her sisters; Aurelia Peers and Rosie Martinez, her grandchildren; Casey, Erin, Alida, Mark, Amanda, Brian, Vincent, Ashley, Natalie, Stephanie, Joshua, and Derrick, her great grandchildren; Camden, Anthony, Zaven, Elizabeth, Conner, Liam, Penelope, Emerson, Isabela, Hector (JJ), Watson, Samir, and Eloise.  She will be missed by all, and we look forward to meeting again in the presence of our Heavenly Father.  Cremation will take place with a private interment at Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
