Daniel Martinez, Sr.

Daniel Martinez, Sr., 73, was born May 13, 1949 in Houston, Texas and entered eternal rest on April 26, 2023 in Houston, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Daniel was a devoted man of his Catholic faith. He was a very strict father raising his kids and always expected respect. Daniel coached his boys baseball team for 15 years and was an incredible mentor to all the neighborhood kids. He enjoyed his Tejano music and worked hard to provide for his family. Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, Evaristo Martinez & Concepcion Hernandez; and his son, Issac Martinez. He leaves behind to cherish and treasure his memories his wife of 50 years of marriage, Maria Guadalupe Martinez; his sons, Daniel Martinez Jr., Jose Lorenzo Martinez & wife Angela, Joaquin Martinez & wife Myra, Javier Martinez & wife Annette, Miguel Martinez & wife Tonya; his daughters, Amelia Diaz, Dolores Verdin, Veronica Martinez, Erika Mendoza & husband Bruce, Ana Rodriguez & Omar, Angelica Martinez; 48 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; his brothers, Luis Martinez, Roberto Martinez; his sister, Rosanne; He is also survived by many other relatives and a host of good friends. Daniel will be dearly missed by all.
