Deputy Steven Ray Gonzales was born on May 31, 1992 in Houston, Texas to his loving parents, Arthur C. Gonzales & Sylvia Jane Gonzales. Deputy Gonzales was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 29, 2017 in Houston, Texas. Deputy Gonzales was a graduate from Reagan High School class of 2010, he then attended The University of Houston Police Academy where he graduated with the class of 2015. Steven was a loving and respectful son who loved his family incredibly. Deputy Gonzales is survived by both of his parents; his paternal grandfather, Margarito Gonzales; his maternal grandparents, Jose Montemayor & Virginia Garcia; his uncles, Oscar Gonzales, Joseph Montemayor, & Jimmy Montemayor; his aunts, Irma Montemayor, & Lisa Garcia; as well as numerous cousins, friends, and The Office of Constable Alan Rosen Harris County Precinct 1 Constables.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 5pm to 9pm with a Rosary being recited at 7pm at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel.Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 11am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church (3600 Brinkman Street, Houston, Texas 77018)Rite of Committal will follow in Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery (1101 Antoine Drive, Houston, Texas 77055)
