Elidia Celestina Mullen

Elidia Celestina Mullen, 55, was born on July 27, 1969, in Houston, Texas, and peacefully passed into eternal rest on March 15, 2025, in Houston. Elidia was a thoughtful sister, a loving daughter, an amazing wife, a awesome aunt, and a beloved friend whose presence touched the lives of all who knew her. Her strength, kindness, and unwavering love were evident in everything she did, always giving her full heart. A confidante in every sense, she was someone you could turn to in any circumstance, offering thoughtful advice with grace and compassion.

Elidia had a special gift for bringing joy to others. She loved seeing people smile and enjoy life, always finding ways to help those in need, no matter the situation. Her circle of friends was vast, yet each one was deeply important to her, and she held them in her heart with great care. Her devotion to family was immeasurable, and she would do anything for those she loved.

Her time with her "gremlins" was among her greatest joys—whether making popcorn for snacky snack time or simply being in their presence, each of her gremlins brought her immense happiness. Elidia had a passion for cooking and took great pride in preparing full-course meals, ensuring everyone was well-fed and content. Her beauty shone not only in her smile but in the warmth and generosity of her heart and soul. She had a unique sense of humor and wasn’t afraid to share it with those around her. Above all, she was fiercely protective of her loved ones, always putting them first.

Elidia was preceded in death by her parents, Joaquin and Elidia Cerda; her beloved husband, Robert Daniel Mullen; and her dear sister, Cynthia Cerda-Perez. She is survived by her devoted sister, Maria C. Cerda; her cherished niece, Stephanie Ramirez and her husband, Octabio Ramirez; her nephew, John Michael Perez and his wife, Savannah; and her treasured great-nieces and great-nephews—fondly known as her "Gremlins"—Elidia Rose, Isaias, John Michael, Octabio, James, and Cruz.

Elidia’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her, and her legacy of love, joy, and laughter will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed, but forever remembered.
