Elvira Ruvalcava Gil

1939-2017

Elvira Ruvalcava Gil was born on April 7, 1939 in Tlaltenango, Zacatecas, Mexico to her parents, Juan Ruvalcava and Elisa De Lucas. Elvira was called Home with her Lord & Savior on November 1, 2017 in Pasadena, Texas while being surrounded by her loving family. Elvira is preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband, Margarito Gutierrez, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage; her sons, Margarito Ruvalcaba & wife Liliana, and Juan Gil; her daughters, Norma Gutierrez & husband Ovidio, and Claudia Gil & husband Javier Vasquez; her daughter in law, Ana Gil; her brothers; Leoncio Ruvalcaba, and Felipe Ruvalcaba; her sisters, Sylvia Ruvalcaba, and Soila Trujillo; her grandchildren, Jessica, Jonathan, Juan Jr., Sebastian, Jennifer, Christian, Melissa, Tiffanie, Javier Jr., and Valerie; and her great grandchildren, Vincent and Aiden. Elvira will be dearly missed by all of those who were able to share with her in life.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017 from 9:30am to 11:30am at The Compean Funeral Home Family Chapel.

Following the Visitation, we will meet at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (9217 Avenue L., Houston, Texas 77012) for a Rosary, which will begin promptly at 12:00pm; followed by the Celebration of Mass at 12:45pm.
