In Loving Memory of Enrique “Ricky” Estrada
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Enrique “Ricky” Estrada, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, who departed this life on January 23, 2025, at the age of 53.
Born in Monterrey, Mexico, Ricky grew up in Houston, Texas, where he attended Furr and Waltrip High Schools. He went on to build a career in the Oil and Gas industry as a dedicated truck driver. For over 15 years, Ricky excelled in his work, ensuring every job was completed with precision and integrity. His commitment to excellence made him a trusted professional in his field.
Ricky was a man of deep faith, guided by his spiritual connection and unwavering trust in God’s plan. His vibrant personality brought light to every room he entered. Known for his contagious laugh, unforgettable smile, and quick wit, Ricky had a unique ability to make friends everywhere he went. His generosity and love were boundless, touching the lives of all who knew him.
Ricky is preceded in death by his father, Enrique Estrada; his stepson, Francisco “Pancho” Robles; and his maternal grandparents, Cipriano and Maria de Jesus Vasquez.
He is survived by his four children, Bianca, Richard, Nathan, and his princess, Mandy; his mother, Angela Maria Estrada Vasquez; and his eight siblings: Mario, Clara, Pedro (Adela), Maria Eber, Maria Enriqueta, Adriana, Juan (Cathy), and Maria E Stockton. Ricky also leaves behind his ex-wife and friend, Sylvia Estrada, his grandchildren Kaylee, Maya, Kloey, Jeremiah, Josiah, and Kaiden, as well as numerous nieces and nephews across Georgia, New York, Tennessee, Texas and Monterrey, Mexico. His life was enriched by countless friendships formed over the years.
Ricky loved spending time with his family, often hosting impromptu BBQs and bringing everyone together. He found joy in his work and the beauty of the open road, living a full life as long as he was driving.
Ricky’s legacy is one of joy and connection. He not only invited everyone to his “life party” but also taught them how to laugh and dance.
