Esmeralda Figueroa Smith, 62, was born on November 12, 1956 in Corpus Christi, Texas and was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 3, 2019 in Houston, Texas.  She was preceded in death by her father, Miguel Rodolfo Figueroa; her mother, Ofelia Flores Figueroa; also, by her brother, Miguel R. Figueroa Jr.  Esmeralda leaves behind to cherish her memories her children, Crystal “Mi Pos Wow” Smith & husband Agustin Carreon, Jennifer Calzada & husband Francisco, Natividad Cordova, Jr. & wife Sarah, Nathan G. Cordova, and April Figueroa; her sisters, Margaret Alvarez, Paula Zornes, Guadalupe Ramirez, Rachel Jodz & husband Ron, Rosie Castro & husband John “Sweetie”; her grandchildren, Joseph R.M. Gallegos, Marisela Calzada, Jasmine Calzada, Francisco Calzada, Mia Lowery, Mirella Cordova, Natividad Cordova III, Hilary Piña Figueroa, and Miguel Piña Figueroa; she also leaves behind many other relatives and numerous friends.  Esmeralda will be dearly missed by all those who shared wonderful memories with her and were touched by her beautiful soul.

Times: 3:00pm to 9:00pm

Rosary: 6:00pm

Location: Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel

Cremation will take place on a later date.
