Esteban Martinez, 80, was born on August 3, 1936 in Rio Hondo, Texas to Pedro Martinez and Maria Lucas Ramirez and was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 7, 2016 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents, also by his son John Steve Martinez. Esteban is survived by his wife, Maria Isabel Martinez; his sons, Pete Martinez & wife Marlene, Tony Martinez, and Carlos Martinez & wife Melissa; his daughters, Mary Rodriguez, Maria Villirreal & husband Jose, Isabel Martinez Robles, Lupe Martinez, Anita Rodriguez and Teresa Martinez Contreras & husband, Louis; his daughter in law, Norma Martinez; his brothers, Antonio Martinez, Juan Martinez, and Carlos Martinez; his sisters, Guadalupe Palacios, Maria Ines Jaramillo, and Lourdes Saudoa; 22 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren; he is also survived by many other relatives and friends. Esteban will be dearly missed by all those who loved him.

Memorial Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 11am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (4015 Sherman St., Houston, TX 77023). Rite of Committal of his Cremated Remains will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
