Frank D. Flores

Frank D. Flores was born on January 28, 1956 in Detroit Michigan.  He passed away on November 28, 2022 at the age of 66.  He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Rosie L. Flores; their three children - Frank Flores III (spouse: Michelle Flores), Jennifer Nicole Valdez (spouse: Daniel Valdez) and Robert Ryan Flores (spouse: Amanda Flores); seven grandchildren: Xavier Flores, Steven Cruz Flores, Jackson Daniel Valdez, Antonio Lorenzo Flores, Jamison Joshua Valdez, Olivia Rose Flores and Ryan Cole Flores.  He is also survived by his mom, Anita C. Flores, and his four sisters: Roxanne Martinez, Esther Flores, Felicia Sheppard and Vera Burleson.  He is preceded in death by his dad Frank C. Flores.  

He was a real estate appraiser for over 45 years, an avid volunteer with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo for more than 40 years, a former President of The Appraisal Institute, and former Chairman of the Go Tejano Committee.  He was known to some as Frank, Frankie, My Love, dad, daddy, Po-Po, Grandpa, Pops, King of the Cowboys, El Jefe, The Legend, Tio, Pancho, compadre, and he is remembered as someone who lived life to the fullest.  He absolutely loved his family, adored traveling with Rosie throughout the US and Mexico, greatly enjoyed Rodeo season and admired the positive impact that the Houston Rodeo had in the community.  He was the life of the party as his numerous friends can attest.  Whether it was on his beloved backyard patio, the pool, a golf course, a deer stand at the ranch or a beautiful beach; he loved being outdoors with his loved ones.  He was a wonderful husband, an amazing dad and Po-Po and a great friend to so many.  He believed in hard work and enjoying life.  He exemplified both throughout his life.  

He will be dearly missed and words cannot convey the emptiness felt as a result of his passing.  While there is a huge void left in our hearts, we will do what Frank/dad/Po-Po would have wanted: we will focus on the profound gratefulness for the time we had with him and cherish the glorious memories made with him.

The Memorial Celebration for Frank will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Compean Funeral Home located at 2102 Broadway St. in Houston, Texas 77012 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.  Western attire encouraged.
