Frieda May Pauly, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born June 5, 1932 in San Perlita, Texas. After completing high school, she came by train to Houston, Texas where she lived with her sister, Beulah Ludlam.
She worked at the Harris County Juvenile Probation Department for many years, and through time eventually worked for the Juvenile Courts as Court Clerk. She was a lifelong member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority where she received the Order of the Rose.
After retiring, she traveled extensively with her sister fulfilling a longtime passion. She loved her faith and was a very active volunteer at her parish. Family was everything to her and she was always there to lend a helping hand.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Zenaida Cantu, and her sisters, Beulah Ludlam and Wilhelmina “Willie” Carney. She is survived by her brother, Richard Ludlam and wife Anna, her niece, Mary Ann Buckheit and husband Scott and nephews, Kenny Carney and Kelvin Carney. She has numerous great nieces and nephews.

A Rosary will be recited on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 10:00am followed by a Celebration of Mass at 10:30am at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (9217 E Avenue L, Houston, TX 77012). Cremation will take place on a later date.
