June 9, 1943 - November 12, 2012 Gerald “Gerry” Peter DeNisco, 69, was born on June 9, 1943 in Bronx, NY and was called home to be with his “Lord & Savior” on November 12, 2012 in Houston, Texas after a long courageous battle with cancer. Gerry was preceded in death by his Father, Gerald Anthony DeNisco, his Mother, Rose DeNisco and aunt, Antoinette DeFeo. He is survived by his loving and devoted Wife, Antoinette DeNisco; Son, Louis Frederick & his wife Patricia & Grandsons Zachary, Samuel and Patrick, Son, Martin Frederick, Daughter, Michelle DeNisco McAllister & her Husband Chris & Granddaughter Emma. Cousin, Dr. Tony DeFeo and his Wife Sylvia, Cousin, Celia Novo and her Husband Guy, and Son Andrew, and his wife Natalie and Son Stephanos. Gerry was a Proud Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War in which he received a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Sharpshooter Rifle M-14 & Expert Badge M-16. A dynamic and charismatic individual, Gerry knew no strangers and was instantly capable of making anyone feel like a lifelong friend. His winning wit and warmth served him well in his career of more than thirty years, where he was the successful owner of his own law practice and a respected trial attorney. A great conversationalist and generous host, Gerry loved music and people, regularly entertaining his friends and family and even putting complete strangers at ease. Gerry treated everyone with sincerity, dignity and respect. He loved baseball & was a huge Red Sox’s fan with a historical mind which could narrate past games from many years ago as if they had just happened a day before. His huge heart and engaging spirit will be missed by all. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 5-8 pm at Compean Funeral Home. Chapel Service will be held Monday, November 26, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Houston National Cemetery where Gerry will be laid to rest with Full Military Honors.
