Gloria Chapa1938 - 2016

Gloria Chapa, 77, was born on November 1, 1938 in Robstown, Texas and was called up to be with her Lord and Savior on August 30, 2016 in Conroe, Texas after a brave fight against Leukemia. Gloria was a loving and caring person with strong faith and conviction who loved life and everyone that came across it. She is preceded in death by her parents, Apolinar & Maria Sanchez; and her son, Raul Chapa. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Ruben E. Chapa; her sons, Ruben Chapa, Jr. and Ramsey Chapa; her daughter, Linda Chapa; her brother, Rudy Sanchez; her grandchildren, Christi, James, Cassandra, Christopher, Sara, Sonja, Jacob, Michael, Nicholas, Marcus and Ramiro, Jr.; and her 14 great grandchildren. Gloria will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 from 4pm to 9pm with a Rosary being recited at 7pm at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 10am at Our Lady of St.John Catholic Church (7500 Hirsch Rd., Houston, TX 77016). Interment will follow in Historic Hollywood Cemetery.
