Guadalupe "Lupe" Cantu1930 ~ 2016

Guadalupe "Lupe" Cantu, 85, was born on November 30, 1930 in Sheppard, Texas to Abundio and Delfina Cantu and was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 24, 2016 in Houston, Texas. Lupe was a loving brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Frances Soliz; and his brother, Aurelio Cantu. A hardworking, generous, and giving person leaves behind to cherish his memories his brother, Isabel "Jack" Cantu; his sisters, Josephine Damian, Maria Luis "Mary" Gutierrez, and Reynalda C. Carmona; his nephews who he proudly raised, John Edward Cantu and Larry Solis; also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 5pm to 8pm with a Rosary being recited at 7pm at The Compean Funeral Home Family Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 10am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
