Guadalupe S. Garcia passed peacefully from this life the morning of January 28th after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded by her loving children and extended family during the last days of her life.
Guadalupe was born on August 28, 1948 in Houston, Texas to Josefina Sanchez. Lupe, as she was known by, was raised by her grandparents (Mommy & Daddy) Guadalupe Lopez & Thomas Lopez, she grew up with her cousins Jesse & Richard, she considered them her brothers.
Guadalupe was married at the age of 16 to David Garcia on January 10, 1966 together they had 7 children whom they raised in the Houston/Pasadena area.
Lupe and David were married 36 years before David Sr. passing in April of 2002.
The family would like you to know that their mom enjoyed daily walks to the corner store where she would purchase her lottery tickets, the store clerk also knew her as Grandma. She also liked watching the Houston Astros and was a huge fan of western movies and shows. She loved taking rides to Texas City and being in the fresh outdoors while listening to her LOVE Little Joe. She spent the last years of her life creating beautiful memories with all those who loved her. Mom will be greatly missed but there's no doubt that her strength, love and life will be cherished and remembered for generations to come.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories her sons, David Garcia Jr., & spouse Doris, Daniel Garcia Sr.; her daughters, Josie Alcaraz & spouse Ralph, Fidela Gaitan & spouse Mike, Anita Gomez & spouse Adrian, Janie Garcia, Yolanda Villalvazo & spouse Joe; her grandchildren, Priscilla, Patrick, Julie, Daniel, Samantha, Cristina, Thomas, Stephanie, Damian, Natalie, Andre, Nevaeh, Simon, Lillian, Darius; 24 great grandchildren; her brothers, Manuel, Danny; her sisters, Martha, Beatriz, Janie, Jessica, Cecilia; numerous nieces and nephews; She is also survived by many other relatives and a host of good friends. Guadalupe will be dearly missed by all those who shared wonderful memories with her.
