Gustavo Rodriguez Hernandez

1977 – 2017

Gustavo Rodriguez Hernandez was born on August 1, 1977 in Mexico, to his parents J. Carmen Rodriguez Aguilar & Hilaria Hernandez Maldonado. Gustavo passed away a hero, not only to the City of Houston and surrounding areas but to all of his loving family. Gustavo passed away while trying to help Hurricane Harvey flood victims get to safety. Gustavo is survived by his parents; his wife, Josefina Garay Granados; his brothers, Jose Carmen Rodriguez Hernandez, Hugo Rodriguez Hernandez, Omar Rodriguez Hernandez, Alvaro Rodriguez Hernandez, Benicio Rodriguez Hernandez, & Jose Romario Rodriguez Hernandez; and his sisters, Maria De Los Angeles Rodriguez Hernandez, & Niselda Rodriguez Hernandez. Gustavo will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends who shared with him in life.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 5pm to 9pm with a Rosary being recited at 7pm at The Compean Funeral Home Family Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 10am at The Resurrection Catholic Church (915 Zoe Street., Houston, Texas 77020.)

Interment will follow on a later date in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
