Idalia G. Herrera

Idalia G. Herrrera, 55, was born on June 18, 1961 in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, Mexico and was called up to be with her Lord and Savior on June 13, 2017 in Houston, Texas surrounded by her loving family. Idalia was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed going to new and scenic places and loved spending time with her family. She was strong and a positive role model to everyone who new her. She liked to have fun, always a smile on her face, and enjoyed the little things in life. Idalia will be greatly missed by all who shared wonderful memories with her. Idalia is preceded in death by her parents, Ramon Garza & Leonor Bernal Garza. She is survived by her husband, Albert Herrera; her sons, Andrew Herrera, Anthony Herrera, Albert Herrera, and Aaron Herrera; her daughters, Crystal Herrera and Andrea Herrera; and her grandchildren, Starr, Kaylee, C.J., and Cayden.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 19, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at the Compean Funeral Home Family Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Compean Funeral Home Family Chapel. Rite of Committal will follow in Houston National Cemetery.

In honor of Idalia, the family would like for everyone to celebrate her life by wearing colorful clothing for the services to represent her colorful soul and nature.
