Irene Perez, 85, died Saturday, February 20, 2021.  A resident of Pasadena.  She was a member of Blessed San Juan Diego Catholic Church, devoting every Saturday to the evening service.  Her Family was a priority, giving everyone unconditional love.  When not spending time with her family, Irene was a dedicated custodian for 20+ years for South Houston Intermediate, San Jacinto Intermediate and Pomeroy Elementary in the Pasadena Independent School District.  Even after retiring, Irene would devote her time to the HOST program, helping school age children to read and write.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Joe R. Perez, daughters; Hope I. Linares and Lisa A. Perez.  Irene leaves behind to cherish and treasure her memories her daughters, Irene Escobar and Amanda Flores; sons, Joe Perez Jr., Johnny Perez, Andrew Perez, and Gilbert Perez; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; she also leaves behind many other relatives and numerous dear friends.

Visitation will be Monday, March 1, 2021 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with Rosary being Recited 7:00pm at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 10:00am at Blessed San Juan Diego Catholic Church (3301 Pasadena Blvd., Pasadena, TX).  Rite of Committal will follow in Grandview Memorial Park/Bethany Cemetery at 12:00pm (8501 Spencer Highway Pasadena, Texas 77505).
