Jesse S. Garcia Jr.

Jesse S. Garcia Jr., 75, was born on May 12, 1949, in Houston, Texas, and entered eternal rest on February 11, 2025, in Houston, Texas.

 Jesse attended McArthur High School and proudly served as a U.S. Marine during the Vietnam Era. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, he was known for his kind heart and unwavering dedication to his family. He had a deep love for children and always looked out for those in his neighborhood.

 Blessed with musical talent, Jesse played the guitar, learned the piano, and found joy in every note of music. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren, taking them on outings to the museum, for ice cream, and on trips to San Antonio. A lover of Mexican food and an avid Coca-Cola drinker, he also found great joy in his faith, often praying for those around him.

 Jesse had a special place in his heart for Jesus and enjoyed unwinding at the casino on weekends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse R. Corpus and his brother, Richard Garcia (Alicia).

 He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his mother, Mary L. Corpus; his wife of 21 years, Luz Maria Garcia; his sons, Jason Garcia and John Garcia; his daughter, Sara Diane Garcia; his stepdaughters, Miriam, Francisca, and Lucha; step grandchildren, Lyana, Joshua, Jonathan, Alayna, and Xavier; his brothers, Jesse Joe Corpus and David Corpus (Karla); his sisters, Norma Stephenson (Doug)  and Irene King (Troy); and his beloved grandchildren, Emily, Madison, George, and Allysa. He also leaves behind many other family members and dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

 Jesse will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
