Joaquin A. Gonzales, Jr., 73, was born on June 17, 1942 in Houston, Texas and was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 27, 2015 in Houston, Texas. Joaquin was a loving husband, father, and grandfather; he will be dearly missed. Mr. Gonzales is preceded in death by his parents, Joaquin & Petra Gonzales; sister, Guadalupe Morales; brothers, Gilbert A. Sandoval and Tony A. Sandoval. Survivors include his wife of 8 years, Irma "Raquel" Flores; sons, Joaquin Gonzales, III and Anthony Robert Gonzales; daughter, Jacqueline Gonzales-Slay & husband Brian; brothers, Vicente A. Gonzales and Jessie A. Gonzales; sisters, Hortencia Gutierrez, Felicitas Sandoval, Carolina Ramos, Mary Perez, Paula Gatts, Susie Gonzales, and Carmen Gonzales; grandson, Anthony J. Gonzales; and great grandson, Anthony M. Gonzales.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 10am to 2pm with a Funeral Service at 2pm at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. Interment will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
