Joe "Chilo" Isidro Martinez, 66, was born on November 12, 1957, in Houston, TX. He was called up to be with his Lord and Savior on March 26, 2024, in Houston, TX. Joe was a son, brother, loving uncle, and friend.
Joe enjoyed a good cup of coffee, or should I say pot. He had a funny sense of humor that would make you laugh and a smile that would light up the room. He loved catching up & reading history, loved to watch Football & Baseball, and recently enjoying his word find. Joe loved the days when Whataburger was on the menu. Joe faced challenges as a young man. He always had a great attitude and his faith continued. Joe was both a volunteer at the school and a Political Volunteer (you would see him taking your Vote on election days).
He is preceded in death by his parents Mary Aurora Lozano & Isidro G Martinez; his sister, Evelia Martinez; and brother, Eugene Martinez. Joe is survived by a special niece, Kandie Marie Martinez, who was his pride and joy and lit up his life and loved her like his own daughter. From a young age walking her to school and waiting for her to get out of school. Teaching her how to drive and most importantly how to love and take care of someone unconditionally; his sister Irma Azuara; and his furry companion, Bella. He is also survived by many other relatives and a host of good friends.
Chilo will be dearly missed by all those who shared wonderful memories with him.
Cremation will take place with a private memorial at a later date.
