Joe Raymond Del Rio

Joe Raymond Del Rio, 79, was born in Houston, Texas on August 31, 1945 and was called to be with his Lord and Savior on March 17, 2025 in Houston, Texas. Joe grew up with a strong sense of duty and commitment. He answered the call to serve his country, enlisting in the United States Army, where he demonstrated unwavering bravery, resilience, and dedication. His time in the military shaped the man he would become—disciplined, compassionate, and always willing to lend a helping hand. Joe built a life centered around family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, sharing a bond that was unbreakable through the years. As a father, he was a guiding light, offering wisdom, strength, and unconditional love to his children. Joe had a heart as big as his presence, with a laugh that could fill a room and a spirit that lifted those around him. He was a man of quiet strength, always leading by example and reminding us of the values of loyalty, kindness, and perseverance. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Juanita Castillo Del Rio, his children who will carry on his legacy; Thomas R. Del Rio & wife Ana Galvan, George Cirilo, Margaret Olsen & husband Jimmy. His siblings who will forever hold him in their hearts, Robert Cervantes and Maria Anita Garcia, his grandchildren; Thomas Del Rio, Jr., Stephanie Del Rio, David Del Rio; his great grandchildren; Angel Del Rio, and Francesca Del Rio. Joe is preceded in death by his son; Michael Del Rio and brother; Johnny Cervantes. Joe’s memory will live on in the stories we share, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit remains woven into the lives of those who knew and loved him.
