John Lawrence Allen, Jr., 68, was born on June 9, 1951 in Clinton, Louisiana and entered into eternal rest on January 4, 2019 in Houston, Texas.  He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and a true friend.  John was preceded in death by his father, John Lawrence Allen, Sr.; his mother Lois Allen; his brother, Carl Allen; also by his sister, Rita Cranmer.  He leaves behind to treasure his memories his loving daughters, Jessica Dickinson and Sabra Moreno & husband Carlos; his brother, Ray Allen; his grandchildren, Henry Dickinson, Joel Hernandez, Destiny Moreno, Grace Moreno, and Frank Moreno; he also leaves behind other relatives and numerous friends.  John will be dearly missed by all those who were touched by his beautiful soul.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 5pm to 9pm with a Celebration of Life Service at 7pm. Final Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020 from 9am to 10:30am. Interment will follow in Houston National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
