John was born in Houston, Texas on June 24, 1937 to Refugio & Ysabel Garza. He was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on July 4, 2019 in The Woodlands, Texas.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Dr. Alfred Garza, Victor Garza, and Casimiro Garza as well as his sisters, Maria Vela and Paula Garza.  John leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Rosa M. Garza; his children Anne Marie Garza, Angela Bolton (Steve), Aurora Garza, John Patrick Garza (Melissa) and Adelina Cantu (Luis); his grandchildren Joshua DelaGarza, Steven Bolton (Daisy), Kent Bolton, Dr. Matthew Marquez, Sean Springer, Isabella Garza, Daniella Garza, Cody Garza, Luis Cantu II, Casey Cantu, Aaron Cantu and Great Granddaughter Analia Bolton; brother Casey Garza and sister Mary Garza. John proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was a lifelong member of The American Legion Post 472. He enjoyed coaching at Magnolia National Little League and Dixie Little League for many years.
