Johnny Joe "J.J" Erebia

Johnny Joe Erebia everyone knew him as “J.J.”, born November 07,1977, took his last breath April 11, 2024. Born, raise, and lived in Houston, TX. where he called home.

J.J. was known to make you laugh and his smile would brighten up the room with his dimples. He always wanted to make sure you were ok, had the best advice, encouraging words to lift you up, and gave the “BEST” tight hugs. That no matter what he was going through you would have never known because his smile never left. The good Lord called J.J. home at the age of 46. He was born to the proud parents of Isabel S. Garcia (Villanueva) from Houston, Tx. and Johnny A. Erebia, native of Corpus Christi, Tx. Later in life came along a bonus father, Eugene Garcia married to his beloved mom Isabel whom he considered a father.

He leaves behind Jessica, the two were married 2015. J.J. and Jessica, together were excited to start a family when they had Genesis Grace Erebia, where he then became the best Stepdad to Israel Delatorre, Isaiah Isaac Delatorre, Mercedes Camille Segovia, and Mia Alizee Segovia. J.J. was always encouraging and the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back to make sure you had one. He listened, never judged, and had this energy to him where you could let out everything weighing on your heart.

J.J. was passionate about his job as a Customer Stored Material Handler at Consolidated Electrical Distributers, Inc. He was a dedicated worker. Everyone and anyone will tell you he was the most positive, most respectful, and most helpful person ever. He was always willing and ready to help anyone that needed anything, even if it had nothing to do with him. But most of all, I think he taught us all unconditional and never-ending love to our children. If you ever had a conversation with J.J. you were definitely going to hear about Genesis, his forever heart.

Not everyone knows this but J.J. had an Elmo costume and he was trying to build his costume collection to start a small business. He planned on collecting Sesame Street Costumes. The next in line was Cookie Monster, he had the piece and chain picked out and customized planning to host childrens’ parties. He took risk, did what made him happy and lived with gratitude always serving others above himself.

JJ will always be remembered by his playful humor and unconditional love. We couldn’t have asked for a better dad, son, brother, cousin, friend, or coworker. Johnny his father, Kerrie his sister, Matthew his brother, and bonus family, Jessica, Isiah, Isreal, Mercedes, Mia, and Genesis his daughter will miss him every day. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.
