Jose Maria Alanis, 93, was born April 19, 1922 in El Cercado, N.L., Mexico and was called home to his "Lord and Savior" on April 29, 2015 in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his Father, Ramon Alanis; Mother, Jovita Almaguer, by his loving Wife, Aurora G. Alanis; and his Brother, Johnny Alanis. He is survived by Son, Joe R. Alanis; Daughters, Gracie Flores & Husband Raul, Martha Williams & Husband Ben(+), Elsa Gonzales & Husband Ramiro, Mary Martinez & Husband Paul, Nora Fuentes & Husband Ernest; Brothers, Jesus Alanis, Gerardo Alanis; Sister, Lidia Rodriguez; and 18 Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2015 from 5pm to 9pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7pm at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 10am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
