Jose Guadalupe Chavez, Jr. "Brother Joe", 51, was born on February 2, 1966 in Houston, Texas and was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 25, 2017 in Houston, Texas.  Brother Joe was a loving father, son, and brother.  He enjoyed spreading the message of Jesus through songs.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Elodia R. Chavez (September, 2015) and his brother, Mauricio Morales (August, 2002).  Joe leaves behind to cherish his memories; his mother, Ramona Cortez; his sons, Jose Guadalupe Chavez, III and Jacob Anthony Chavez; his sisters, Debbie Morales Ortiz & husband Dale Ortiz and Mona Elizabeth Deleon & husband Greg Deleon; also numerous nephews and nieces and many other relatives and friends.  He will be dearly missed by all but he will be reunited with his wife and brother.

Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at Golden Acres Baptist Church (2812 Pansy St., Pasadena, TX 77503) on Friday, March 31, 2017 starting at 6pm with a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11am.  Interment will follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
