Jose Garcia Cortes, 74, was born on March 17, 1941 in Guanajuato, Mexico and went home to be with his "Lord and Savior" on May 15, 2015 in Houston, Texas. Jose is preceded in death by his Father, Abdon Garcia; Mother, Flora Cortes; Brother, Salvador Garcia. Survived by his Wife, Rosa Garcia de Garcia; Son, Martin Garcia and wife Maria Elda Espinoza; Daughter, Angelica Juarez and husband Jose Juarez; Brothers, Donaciano Garcia, Jose Garcia, and Juan Garcia; Sisters, Isabel Hernandez, Agripina Garcia, and Antonia Garcia de Salazar; 8 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 3pm to 9pm with a Rosary being recited at 7pm at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 10am at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. Rite of Committal will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
