Jose Jesus Flores Mercado, 73, was born on December 14, 1942 in Guanajuato, Mexico to Seferino Flores and Maria Mercado, and was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 13, 2016 in Houston, Texas. Jose is preceded in death by his beloved parents; his son, Juan Carlos Flores (2010); and his grandson, Jesus Hinojosa. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Maria Dolores Flores; his sons, Ramon Flores & wife Esther, Juan Flores & wife Martha, and Jose Flores & wife Reveca; his daughters, Teresa Flores, Gloria Hernandez & husband Filimon, Cristina Flores & husband Eliseo Hinojosa, and Araceli Ramirez & husband Emilio; his brothers, Calletano Flores, Guadalupe Flores, and Salvador Flores; his sisters, Clara Flores, Dolores Flores, Rosa Flores, and Merced Flores; also survived by 22 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 from 4pm to 9pm with a Rosary being recited at 7pm at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 10am at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. Rite of Committal will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
