Jose Luis Ruiz, Sr.

Jose Luis Ruiz, Sr., 61, was born on June 20, 1954 in Jalisco, Mexico and was called up to be with his Lord and Savior on May 19, 2016 in Port Arthur, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father, Narcizo Ruiz; his brother, Narcizo Ruiz; and his sister, Carmen Ruiz. He is survived by his mother, Refugio Godinez; his wife, Norma Ruiz; his sons, Jose Luis Ruiz, Jr., Raul Isaac Ruiz & wife Dianelkys, and Jorge Alberto Ruiz; his daughters, Norma Isela Janveir & husband Jean and Maria Concepcion Gillespie & husband Mark; his brothers, Javier Ruiz and Salvador Ruiz; his sisters, Esther Gonzalez and Leticia Myers; his grandchildren, Laura Cynthia Bocanegra, Vanessa Janel Lopez, Alexander Lee Salas, Kandy Ruby Salas, Atzahel Adrian Salas, Isaac Ruiz, Sebastian Xavier Ruiz, Andrew Ruiz, Desiree Marie Gutierrez, Carlos Narciso Ruiz, Alexis Yvonne Ruiz, Elias Stephen Ruiz, Scarlet Yohanna Ruiz, and Andrew Jeremiah Gillespie; and his great grandchildren, Ezra Samuel Bocanegra and Evie Serenity Bocanegra. He will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 2pm to 8pm with a Rosary to be recited at 6pm at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11am at St. Puis V Catholic Church (824 South Main St., Pasadena, Texas 77506). Rite of Committal will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
