For over 20 years, Josephine delighted in gathering family and friends to take casino bus trips to Coushatta. She was a hard worker, who for 40 years plus baked cakes and provided catering for numerous events. For a decade she organized and hosted San Antonio Fiesta trips that brought our family and friends together in celebration and cherished memories. One of her greatest gifts was the love she expressed through her cooking, from her famous tamales to her comforting Sunday dinners. She had an adventurous spirit for traveling and found joy in taking cruises, traveling to Las Vegas, Hawaii, Cancun, just to name a few of the numerous places she went to visit, let’s not forget the quick trips to Louisiana to play the slot machines. She was the biggest fan and supporter of her grandchildren and great grandchild never missing any school event or important functions. But her love extended far beyond her family, reaching out to all with a serving heart. From her cherished casino bus "regulars" to her closest friends and relatives, she was a pillar of support and unconditional love. Josephine was also an amazing caregiver to her late husband, mother, and father. She exemplified selflessness and compassion in every aspect of her life, her home was a sanctuary of love, warmth, and hospitality, where every guest was welcomed with open arms and treated to a comforting delicious meal, a cup of coffee, or a sweet treat. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched with her love, laughter, and unwavering generosity.
Our mother, grandmother and great grandmother will be dearly missed by all those who shared wonderful memories with her and the legacy of love will endure for generations to come.
“To the world you are a mother, To our family you are the world”
On Behalf of the Cordova Family, we would like to thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
