Juana "Juanita" Reyes Mercado, 95, was born on February 8, 1928 in Orange, Texas to Andres Reyes and Antonia Gobea. She was called to be with her Lord and Savior on December 26, 2023 in Pasadena, Texas. Juana was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was very reserved, private, and humble. Juana also enjoyed giving and was very neighborly. She was a great cook and loved gardening. Juana was a caring mother that understood the value of hard work. Juana is preceded in death by her husband, Santiago R. Mercado, Sr., and her son Santiago Mercado, Jr. Juana is survived by her son; Robert Mercado & wife Lisa Davenport, her daughters; Esperanza Cantu & husband Manuel, Elva Rodriguez, Natalia Salinas & husband Rolando, Dolores Arcos & husband Felipe, Gloria Mercado, and Mary Helen Mata & husband Jesse, also by 28 grandchildren and 56 great grandchildren, and 21 great great grandchildren. Juanita was a life long resident of Denvor Harbor and will be missed dearly by everyone she came in contact with.
