Juanita Fernandez, age 71, was born on December 4, 1949 in Tamaulipas, Mexico and passed away unexpectedly on November 15, 2021 in Houston, Texas. Juanita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her father, Santiago Santillana, Mother Maria Antonia Garza and son, Pablo Cruz Rios.

Juanita leaves behind to cherish her memories, her loving husband Alfonso “Poncho” Fernandez, daughter Brenda King and son-in-law Cedric King, daughter Jennifer Briones and son-in-law Rene Briones; grandchildren, Irasema Quiroz, Amanda Rodriguez, Alyssa Meza, Ashley Turrubiartes, Rebecca Rodriguez, Elijah Rodriguez, Marco Castillo, Brianna Maldonado, Brisaida Castillo, Matthew Castillo, Briseis Castillo; Great Grand daughters: Arianna Turrubiartes; Dana Quiroz, Aleyda Turrubiartes, and Ava Turrubiartes.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 4:00 pm at Compean Funeral Home at 2120 Broadway, Houston, TX 77017.
