Loyd David Hood Jr.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Loyd D. Hood Jr., a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and grandson who left us far too soon. Born on October 7, 1994, in Houston, Texas, to Loyd David Hood Sr. and Denise Torres-Bermea, Loyd graced this world with his kindness, compassion, and a heart of gold. 

As a devoted family man, Loyd cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. His children, Loyd III, Lorenzo, and Layla were his pride and joy, and he always strived to provide them with a life full of love, laughter, and warmth. Loyd was not just a father but a hero to his family, a beacon of strength, and an endless source of encouragement. 

Loyd possessed an extraordinary ability to see the good in everyone. He was the type of person who helped those who couldn't help themselves, extending a hand to anyone in need. His empathy and generosity knew no bounds, and he never hesitated to offer support, regardless of the circumstances. He overlooked faults and believed that everyone deserved a chance, a testament to his unwavering faith in humanity. 

Beyond his family, Loyd touched the lives of countless individuals with his selflessness and compassion. He was a friend to many, always ready with a smile and a kind word. His legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. 

Loyd is survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Hood Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Bermea, his son Loyd D. Hood III from his relationship with Elizabath Arellanes, his two children Lorenzo and Layla Hood with his wife Vicky Garcia, his siblings, Dominque, Daniella, and Delilah Hood, and stepsister Madison Williams. He is preceded in death by his cherished grandmother Eva M. Rodriguez. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. 

In honoring Loyd’s memory, let us carry forward his spirit of kindness, love, and compassion. May his soul rest in peace, and may we find comfort in the cherished memories we shared with him.
