Luis Aguilar

1962 - 2022

Luis Aguilar, 59, entered eternal rest on February 22, 2022, in Houston, Texas. He  was a devoted son, kind father, loving grandfather and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Luis was born on June 24, 1962, in Edinburg, Texas. One of ten children, he was known for his caring spirit, a spirit that he continued to have into adulthood. As a father and grandfather he was warm and involved.   Known as “Tio Luis” to his nieces and nephews he was often described as everyone’s favorite and created many lifelong friendships because he was so lovable and easy going.

Luis was preceded in death by his father Guillermo Aguilar Sr., mother Hermelinda Aguilar, and sister Noelia Becerra.  He leaves behind children Jessica Lynn Aguilar and Luis Aguilar Jr (Melanie) and grandchildren Jacob Landon Corrales, Jaelynn Marie Aguilar, and Joseph Luis Aguilar who will continue to cherish their many memories. Luis is also survived by his siblings Janie Garza (Emilio), Maria Elena Gutierrez (Meme), Guadalupe Garcia, Guillermo Aguilar Jr (Karen), Alice Ojeda, Robert Aguilar (Cynthia), Ruben Aguilar (Dalila), and Michael Aguilar (Xochitl), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The Aguilar Family would like to thank everyone for the overflow of support and prayers during this difficult time.

Visitation: Wednesday March 2, 2022, from 5pm -8pm (Memorial Service 6:00pm)

Celebration of Life: Thursday, March 3, 2022, 10:00am
