Lydia Cantu

Lydia Cantu, 83, was born on December 25, 1941, in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, and peacefully entered eternal rest on February 3, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Lydia was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose warmth and love touched the lives of all who knew her. Her presence will be profoundly missed.

 She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ruben Cantu; her son, Ruben Cantu; and her grandson, Brandon Alexander Cantu. Lydia leaves behind a cherished family who will forever honor her memory: her son, Hernan Cantu and wife Rosa; her daughters, Aurora Cantu, Gabriela Cantu and husband Juan Eduardo Reyes, Myriam Cantu and husband Luis Eduardo Leal, and Edna Cantu and husband Juan Manuel Donenas; her brother, Facundo Salazar; her sister, Argentina Gil; her grandchildren, Yamilex, Bryan, Eduardo, Kevin, Chelsea, Edgar, Jennifer, and Kailey; and her great-grandchildren, Ruben, Alejandro, and Ashley.

 Lydia's legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of sharing beautiful moments with her. She will be forever in our hearts.
