Manuel Alejandro Hernandez or as we all came to love him as “DJ Lobo”, 42, was born on July 15, 1974 and passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 24, 2016. Lobo will be forever remembered by his loving mother Yolanda Sanchez, devoted brothers George Hernandez, Keith Hernandez, loving sisters Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Sanchez, Halley Hernandez, and Estela Hernandez, beloved children Xavier Hernandez, and Gasseli Hernandez, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him.

There were many wonderful aspects to Lobo’s life including his love and passion for music. He was a member of the Dope House Records Family and was instrumental in their success in the music industry. His passion for music was shown as he left Dope House Records and continued entertaining many with his amazing knowledge of music and wonderful skills as a DJ on the 1’s and 2’s. He will be remembered as a wonderful brother, a great friend, a generous uncle, cousin, son and father. Lobo touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. In all these ways and more he made our lives richer and fuller. Now that he has passed away of course there is emptiness and pain, confusion and maybe even anger at death coming to a man of only 42 years, but in many ways, the gift of Lobo’s life is still here with us. He lives on in our memories and stories, and in what all of us have become because of him. So, we encourage you to share – today, tomorrow and in the years to come – your memories and stories, and to share the pain of your loss as well. In this way we will keep the gift of Lobo’s life alive.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 4pm to 8pm with a Prayer Service at 6pm at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. Cremation will take place on a later day.
