Margarito "Mario" Alvarado, 70, was born on April 13, 1945 to Margarito Alvarado and Maria Estala in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, April 11, 2016 in Houston, Texas while surrounded by his loving family. Margarito was a devoted Husband, Father and Friend to all.
Margarito came to The United States when he was a young child. He joined the Armed Forces in 1967 and was stationed for much of his time in Germany. He loved to talk, laugh, and sing. Margarito was an avid reader, a musical aficionado, a teacher, a loving family man, and a faithful humble servant to Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior.
He was preceded in death by his beloved Parents; his brother, Rogelio Alvarado; his sister and second Mother, Paula Becerra.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Blanca Alvarado; his sons; Mario Alvarado and Manuel Alvarado; his daughters, Josette Alvarado & husband Darrell Ingram, and Judith Alvarado & husband Eric Spataro; his brothers, Gilberto Alvarado & wife Estela, and Conrado Alvarado & wife Felisa; his brother in law, Jose Becerra; his sisters, Guillermina Sanchez, Guadalupe Jalife & husband Vincente, and Alicia Robledo & husband Jesus; his grandchildren, Jorge Alvarado, Ryan Alvarado, Aracelie Alvarado, Adam Alvarado, Allyson Alvarado, Jacob Spataro, Kaden Ingram, and Alexander Spataro; and his great grandchild, Jaysela Alvarado.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 4pm to 9pm at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 11am at The Compean Funeral Home Main Chapel. Reception to follow at The Knights of Columbs (420 Telephone Rd., Houston, TX 77023)
